Colin qualified as a solicitor in 1998. He specialises predominantly in family law, litigation / dispute resolution, wills, probate and settlement agreements and has notable cases reported in the Court of Appeal and High Court.
His litigation work also includes contentious probate disputes with one of his cases having been reported in the Wills & Trusts Law Reports (WTLR) and being referenced in two Law Society Legal Handbooks for Inheritance Act Claims and Contentious Probate.
Colin also has experience representing celebrities, other lawyers (including barristers) and high net worth clients including a client who appeared in The Times Richest 100 list. He was also asked to be a guest speaker at the 2020 International PCLawyer Global Online Summit alongside other industry leading experts across the world.
Colin is a very experienced solicitor and acts for clients internationally as well as in the local courts and tribunals throughout the country.
As stated above, he has also represented clients in the Royal Courts of Justice both in the Court of Appeal and High Court, in the High Court District Registries, the Employment Appeals Tribunal, and as part of High Profile Group Litigation.
His cases have included :

Before setting up Freeman Jones Solicitors, Colin was a Partner and Head of the Civil Department at a firm of solicitors in Liverpool.
